A Midsummer Night's Dream
(1935) co-directed by William Dieterle and Max Reinhardt

Eric Wen will briefly discuss some background to the film, concentrating on Korngold's arrangement of Mendelssohn's music.

Professor Wen, an expert in Schenkerian musical analysis, is Co-Chairman of the Musical Studies Department at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and previously taught at Goldsmith's and King's Colleges at the University of London, the Guildhall School and Royal Academy of Music in London, and the Mannes College of Music in New York. His articles have appeared widely in anthologies and the major journals in his feld.

Hotel Fees:
We have changed this year’s conference from a two-night stay to a one-night (Saturday) stay. The hotel costs to attend the conference include an overnight fee (single: $366.85; double: $251.85 per person) PLUS a day fee for Saturday of $90 per adult; altogether, the hotel costs cover the use of the grounds and all meals from Saturday 9:30 AM through Sunday lunch.

Overnight room rates (in the same room) for children:
under 4 yrs.: free
4-12 yrs.: $89.70
13+ yrs.: $156.40

It is possible for people to extend their weekend stay at Mohonk at discounted conference rates. (People choosing to stay at Mohonk Friday night May 6, would not have to pay the grounds fee for Saturday morning and afternoon.)  Any questions, call (718) 548-6088 for more information or look for further announcements about the conference from your Society.

Regional Council Conference Fee:
for the scientific sessions: $125.00/attendee
(candidates: $75.00)

PLEASE NOTE: Because of the use of confidential clinical material, only clinicians may attend the daytime scientific sessions. Saturday night film is free/open to all.
